"Since 1915 Charles Hartner has been a physician and surgeon at Madison, Nebraska. He was born in Leonardville, Kansas, Jun 21, 1889, son of Paul and Pauline Hartner.

Dr. Hartner has six brothers and three sisters, Paul of Riley, Kansas; Fred, Ernest, Herman and Will of Clay Center, Kansas; the Reverend Henry G, pastor of Trinity Lutheran of Lincoln, Nebraska; Minnie Hartner Kahre and Rose Hartner Tonn of Clay Center, Kansas; and Pauline Louise Hartner, a teacher of music in Hollywood, California.
