Mr. F. Stewart Cashour Sr., 89, of Frederick, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his home after an extended illness. Born Oct. 5, 1919, in Libertytown, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Maude L. Simpson Cashour. He was the husband of Lillian Shirley Nusbaum Cashour, his wife of 66 years.Mr. Cashour was a 1936 graduate of Liberty High School. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. He was formerly employed as manager of Ramsburg Fertilizer for 15 years, then as manager of Ralston Purina of Glade Valley at Walkersville until retiring in 1984. He and his wife had resided in Libertytown until moving to Frederick in 1999. Stewart was a former member and Sunday school teacher of the Libertytown United Methodist Church and a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren and the Men's Bible class until illness prevented his attendance. He was a member of the Frederick County Young Republicans Club and a life member of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Co., where he had held various offices. He enjoyed New York Yankees baseball, hunting, fishing, Republican politics, clerking estate sales and he was an avid reader. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Connie Ann Caldwell of Frederick; a son, Francis S. "Dickie" Cashour Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Middletown; a granddaughter, Kristie Stottlemeyer of Smithsburg; and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Isaac Stottlemeyer. He will also be remembered by his dedicated care providers, Louise Young, Nancy Bowens, Debbie Kennedy, Gladys Abankwah, Diana Boafo and Essi Bansah.A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Frederick Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Paul Mundey, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Libertytown. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick, MD 21701 or to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O.
