He departed this life for his Heavenly Home on Easter Sunday, April 14,1974, while enjoying one of his favorite hobbies fishing.
His family moved to Laclede County, Missouri about 1909, and purchased a farm in the Prosperine area, where he and his siblings attended weissgerber School.
Theon was a US Postal Carrier for thirty five years, until his retirement in 1968.
On June 21,1940 he was united in marriage to Alta Rogers Winsel.
He is survived by three sons; Wayne Blattel and his wife Lois, Billy Blattel and his wife Mary Jane (Janie) of Lebanon, Missouri, and Larry Dale Blattel of the home, also four daughters; Pauline Thomas and her husband Charles, Sherlie and her husband William (Bud) Blue, Mary Jewell Bruhn and her husband Jim, all of Lebanon, and Louetta Blattel of the home.
He is also survived by two brothers Charley and George Blattel both of Lebanon, and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Joann who died in infancy; his parents, two brothers James (Jim), and John and one sister Rosa Blattel.
Theon enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and camping with family and friends.
