Funeral services for Osborne Edward Whitney, 77, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Interment was in Reagan Cememtery with the Rev. Doyle Adams and the Rev. George Ferrington officiating.
A lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, he was a retired farmer and a member of Coax Baptist Church. He died on Dec. 9, 1987, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include two sons, James Whitney and Bobby Whitney, both of Winnsboro; a sister, Alice McClelland of Winnsboro; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Browning, Earl Powers, Tim Kelly, Jack Bowden, Joe Doughty and Ken Hill.
