Freda L. Lockhart, 90, of Davisville passed away Sept. 11, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Taylor County, the daughter of the late Okey L. and Viola Freeman Peters.
She was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa "Pixie" Hinkle of Davisville; her grandchildren, James Moore Jr., (Lori) of Charleston, W.Va., Christopher Matlack of Davisville, Susan Weaver (Toby) of Belpre, Ohio and Guy C. "G.C." Lockhart III of Vienna. Her great grandchildren, Paige and Peyton Matlack, Annabelle, Little Rusty and Jeremiah Weaver and James Andrew Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy C. Lockhart Sr.; one son, Guy C. "Rusty" Lockhart Jr.; one daughter, Terrance G. Burch; her brother, Okey R. Peters; her sisters, Annalee Hinkle, Peggy Robinson and Theda Tuttle; her son-in-law, Ron Hinkle.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Wirt County. Visitation will be today from 2-8 p.m.
