Funeral services for Ward E. Bresett, 61, of 1505 Ford St Ogdensburg, were held Tuesday Oct 27, 1981 at 10 am at the Nichols Funeral Home, the Rev. David Morgan officiating. Burial was int eh Ogdensburg Cemetery.

Mr. Bresett died Sunday morning Oct 25, 1981 at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; a son, Lyndon, of Ogdensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Harlow (Memory) Hockey of Texas; a grandson, four sisters, Arlie Hughes, Mrs. Clifford (June) Woodley, Mrs. John (Leola) LaJoy, and Mrs. Lila VanCleve, all of Ogdensburg, several nices and nephews. A sister and four brothers pre-deceased him.

Born in DePeyster Dec 16, 1919, he was the son of Bert and Maude Liscum Bresett.

He married Sylvia Carr on Aug 28, 1953. He was an attendant at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center until he retired in May of 1980.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in teh Army in France. He was a member of the Ogdensburg VFW Post and the Franco-American Club.
