Hallie Cleo Abercrombie, age 87, of Virginia Cir., Clinton, SC, died May 10, 2008, at her home.
She was born in Laurens County, SC, and was a daughter of the late Leroy and Hallie Wofford Campbell. Mrs. Abercrombie was a former employee of Clinton Mills, a homemaker and a member of the Waterloo Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. J.B. "Jot" Abercrombie of the home; two sons, Charles "Tony" Abercrombie and wife, Beth of Columbia, SC, and Robert "Buddy" Abercrombie and wife, Patty of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Mary Gregory and husband, Melvin of Anderson, SC, and Dianne Powell and husband, Gary of Greer, SC; one brother, Rev. L.R. Campbell of Batesburg-Leesville, SC; three sisters, Nellie Ruth Holley of Florida, Coreen Smith of Greer, SC, and Shirley Yarborough of Statesville, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
