Walter G. Adams, 69, Lancaster, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Garrard County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

The son of G.H. and Olie Gastin Adams, he was born June 25, 1912, in Lincoln County.

A retired farmer and member of Goochtown Church of Christ, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Adams.

Survivors are two sons, Carlos and Danny Adams, both of Lancaster, three daughter, Mary Ethel Preston, Lancaster, Angie Denny and Eula Eldridge, both of Crab Orchard, three brothers, Will Adams, Norwood, Ohio, Estill Adams, Eubank, and Chester Adams, Stanford; five sisters, Lucy Smith, Muncie, Ind., Rosie Padgett and Lillie Todd, both of Waynesburg, Bertha Whitter and Laura Griffin, both of Eubank, 20 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Barnett Funeral Home, Waynesburg, with Bro. Harold Carter officiating.

Burial will be in the Double Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tonight at Barnett Funeral Home, Waynesburg.
