Addie was the eldest of eight children born to Maxon John and Johanna (Henke) O'Neill. She married Theodore Christian Risch on February 2, 1904 in Goodhue County Minnesota. She was the mother of eight children- Frederick Maxon, Theodore Addison, Carol Isabel, Willard Herman, Julia Margaret, Berniece Adeline, Lawrence O'Neill and Constance (who died as an infant)
