"Vaughn Miller Erekson, age 77, passed away July 4, 1995, at Cottonwood Hospital.
Born April 26, 1918, in Murray, Utah, to James Theodore Jr. and Katie Lorraine Miller Erekson. Married Lucy Andrus July 31, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church and was currently serving in the high priest group leadership.
Served an LDS mission as a young man and also four with his wife. He was a veteran of World War II. Member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. Owned and operated Erekson Brothers Dairy with his brothers and father. Avid snow skier, historian and world explorer. Loved by his family.
Survived by his wife; 11 children: seven sons, Vaughn Milo (Gayle), David (Lynda), Steven, Paul (KimberLee), Peter (Diana), Jeff (Suzie), Gerald; four daughters, Shannon (Gary) Pickell, RoLayne (Allen) Jensen, Fiona (Brent) Winkler, Lucy (Lance) Christopherson; 33 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Quentin J.; and one sister, Arlene Goss.
Funeral services will be, Friday, July 7, 1995, 12 noon at Meadows Ward, 5735 So. Fashion Blvd. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, and Friday, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery."
