Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie T. Colvin were conducted Sunday, February 12, at the Campbellsville Baptist Church, by Dr. J. Chester Badgett, Dr. J. L. Robinson, Dr. Adolphus Gilliam, Dr. D. L. Druien, and Rev. Coy Kidd. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Colvin was born in Taylor County, June 20, 1887, the daughter of the late John and Sallie Ann Miskell Tandy, and died Friday, February 10 at Mary Immaculate Hopsital in Lebanon. She was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was married to Mr. Jodie Colvin on August 8, 1906, and to this union six sons and two daughters were born. Surviving are: Mrs. Earl Barnett, Hugh Colvin, Charlie Colvin, and Mrs. James Ware, all of this city; Edgar Colvin, Route 3; and Howard Colvin of Louisville. Besides husband and children, she is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Annie Richerson of this city; Mrs. Florence Colvin of Chenoa, Ill.; and Joe Tandy of Dwight, Ill.; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Mikel, Samuel Murrah, Abb McKnight, F. M. Elder, Alva McKinley and Harvey Antle.
