MOUNT GILEAD - Titus Alexander Byrd, 86, of Route 2, Box 78 died Jan. 5, 1993, at Brian Nursing Center in Asheboro.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stoney Fork Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Montgomery County, he was a retired sawmill operator.
Surviving are daughters, Elgie Parnell, Jo Ann Blue, both of Mount Gilead; sons, Johnny Byrd of Troy, James H. Byrd Sr. of Asheboro, Lenell Byrd of Rockingham, Alton R. Byrd of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Maxine Haywood of Asheboro; brother, Robert Byrd of Asheboro; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home 7-9 tonight.
