MRS. BELLE A. WHITE
Mrs. Belle Ard White, 75, of Route 1, Florence, died yesterday morning at Wilmington.

Mrs. White had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Joe Garris, for the past two weeks.

The funeral will be held at Mount Hope at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. The rites will be conducted by the Rev. E.W. Hunter, pastor of the Church of God.

Mrs. White was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Gorrie and Harriett Ard, both of this county. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mrs. White is survived by six daughters, Mrs. J.A. Harrell of Florence, Mrs. J.W. Campbell of California, Mrs. Roy Wall Covington of Rockington, N.C., Mrs. Flora King of Graham, N.C., Mrs. Ruth Pendergrass of Chapel Hill, N.C. and Mrs. Garris; three sons, the Rev. Lanco Ard of Dillon and P.D. and German Ard both of Wilmington; 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
