Submitted by B. Ware, 12/13/11:
Early in 1911 the property containing Patriot Edward Ware Cemetery near Danielsville, Madison County, Georgia was purchased by Mr. Al Jett.
Mr. Jett immediately began clearing the area around the headstones and restoring the cemetery to as near the original arrangement as possible based on an early survey of the headstones. Unfortunately many of the headstones were lost and some were broken in several pieces.
Mr. Jett began working with Bruce Maney, Chairman GA Society SAR Patriot Graves Committee and Virgil Palmer with The Athens Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution to mark the resting place of Patriot Edward Ware.
Seventy two attended the December 10, 2011 grave dedication service for the honorable Revolutionary War Patriot Edward Ware. People from Texas, South Carolina and Georgia came together to pay their respects for the service rendered by Patriot Edward Ware who answered the call to serve that delivered us a nation that stands today the best place on earth to live.
Thanks to Mr. Al Jett, Bruce Maney, Virgil Palmer and to those associated with this endeavor for making this possible to honor such a Patriot.
