Add Photosfarm at the edge of Elizabeth City, West Main Street Extended, or her parents did, because
when Horace Lynch, funeral director in Hertford and Elizabeth City, started Westlawn
Memorial Cemetery, 1909 West Main Street Extended, Elizabeth City, NC, he contacted Ellis
Norman Miller, grandson, and offered to sell him lots beside his grandparents, David and Sarah
Jones Miller. The tombstones were fragile and tumbling down so some of the Millers replaced
them. They may be seen at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery, corner, far left as you enter the
Cemetery, beneath a big tree. In 1939 the WPA copied the cemetery stones and called it
"Pritchards Cemetery in the back of Mr. John Overton's field." They recorded Sarah as :
SARAH MILLER 1835-1881. They did not record David Miler. Perhaps his tombstone had crumbled too badly to read as both stones were replaced in the 1950's by George Washington Miller's children
