On highway 84.

Located in the Whatley Community in Clarke County Alabama on Highway 84. The land originally belonged to the Davis family. Mary Elizabeth Johns married Edwin Davis and when their son Frederick was 9 years old Edwin gave the lane to Frederick in a deed of gift being he was going to Virginia and knowing the dangers of travel mentioned the possibility of his return. In the deed of gift he granted his wife Mary Elizabeth Johns a home for life to raise her children. Franklin Benjamin Whatley was the son of Mary Elizabeth Johns and a son of the Elder Willis Whatley. Frederick Davis died while serving in the WBTS and was brought back to Whatley to be buried. After the death of Elizabeth Johns Whatley Davis, Martha S. Allen Whatley purchased the part of the land where the cemetery is located and it became known as the Whatley Family Cemetery.
