The cemetery is located on the Old Buffalo Road about three miles north of the Florence Road. It is on a farm formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Frances Ketterlin of Tipton. The entire cemetery was grown over with barberries, wild grape vines and other undergrowth to the extent that the markers were difficult to locate, so in 1967 Francis Ketterlin bulldozed it all up and set the stones in two straight rows, where they could be viewed by passers-by on the county road that many old-timers called "The Old Buffalo Road."

Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ketterlin copied the inscriptions in 1967. Bill and Dorothy Williams went to the cemetery in November 1993 and found it in bad shape. The present owner had let cattle graze over the cemetery and it had not been kept up. The stones were down and broken and were in three rows. All but one stone that the Ketterlins recorded were found. Some of the stones were so broken and scattered that only partial dates and names could be read. Their locations were recorded by row (R1, R2 or R3).
