From Hwy 54 at the Hwy 17 junction, take Hwy 17 for 5 miles to the residence of the Kempker's on the right side of the road. The cemetery is located behind their house and it is actually on the property of Alan & Karen Schulte. We came in from Hwy 17 with the assistance of Janice (Rush) Kempker and her truck. If you get to Buster Road you have gone too far.
The cemetery fence is down in most places, there are weeds, trees and limbs that have fallen and evidence of cattle inside. This cemetery is not tended and no longer in use.
There are several rocks indicating tombs, but only a few with any writing on them and most of that is illegible. One newer stone is the only one that had complete dates on it.
Since we inventoried this cemetery I have heard that there are several relatives who are going to clean up and fence this cemetery. That is always good news to me.
