The four stage tower with embattled parapet and pinnacles dates from the 15th century. The rest of the church dates from the 19th century.
The church was rebuilt, with the exception of the tower, in 1868 in the Perpendicular style. The tower contains some living accommodation (including toilet) and was probably used as a place of safety in times of strife.
The churchyard, still in use, has headstones from the 18th century to the present.
