This cemetery was established on findagrave in 2014, just after the administrator visited the location and photographed the graves. Permission would need to be given by the current landowner in order to visit these tombstones.
An early description of this church is as follows. Taken from "Memories from Montana's Crow Rock Country" by Clara Doran:
"The old Allen Catholic Church site was on S26 T16 R42 in Garfield County. The old church site is on a high hill over looking the Hawk's Nest Creek drainage. Names on the graves in the Cemetery were Math. Pitzer, Gertrude Popp, Joseph Zabrocki and two or three unknown graves. In the early '20s and '30s Father Rauh of Circle held Mass there, in Jordan and even in homesteader's homes. Dan Haughian occasionally took Fr. O'Carrol there for Mass. The Allen Catholic Church was called Our Lady of Carmel and was dismantled in 1945 and is the Loskinski's home in Miles City." [Note: The altar railing became a rail in a nearby Loskinski homestead hayloft]
Current Bureau of Land Management recreation maps show the Hawk's Nest drainage.
