This is a small neglected, historical cemetery located on private property.
Waldoboro was settled by German immigrants solicited by General Waldo in the early 1740's. Meeting House Cove is the site of one of the earliest settlements on the south side of the Medomak River. It is believed the first meeting house, a primitive log cabin structure, was located here. Later, the town center was moved further up the Medomak River to its present location and this site abandoned.
Mention of this cemetery was made by Jasper Stahl, on page 333, in his "History of Old Broad Bay and Waldoboro."
Work has been done recently in the fall of 2013 by members of the Old Broad Bay Family History Association to clean up the site, clear a path from the road through the woods to the site, and erect some signs at the site.
