East of Gordo, Pickens County, Alabama
Take Hwy 82 (South East) and turn South off onto County Road 63 or Benevola Rd.
and travel about 4 miles South to intersection of Dr. Kirk Road (at Left, East) and Speed Mills Road (at Right, West).
Then take Dr. Kirk Road East past Flatwood Church Rd.
Dr. Kirk Road will teminate at intersection of (North bound) Old Vienna Road and
and (South bound) Fife Road, turn North on Old Vienna Road, also known Beaverdamn Church Rd.
Continue North East on Old Vienna and pass Dave Wells Cutoff Rd. on the left, shortly after on the
left will be the entrance of Olive Cemetery.

Mt Olive Cemetery, also known as Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery, which was originally called(Beaver Pond Cemetery), Kirk District, Pickens County, Alabama. The original Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church was made of Cedar Wood, organized in 1838, located in Pickens County, in the Davidson Settlement of Tuscaloosa County. The church building was well constructed and even the wooden pegs in the benches were in use one hundred and one years later. Some teenage boys comitted arson. The church burnt to the ground and is now replaced by a metal structured building that is in the background of this photo.
