Known in the 1800's as the MOTLEY Cemetery when the property belonged to that family; later it was called the BRUMMAL-PENICK Cemetery when those family members were buried in a second section enclosed by a stone wall. Lastly, the THOMPSON family owned that land and added a chain-link enclosed section. Currently it is known as the THOMPSON Cemetery, on Hwy 61, Green Co., KY.
