Also known as Georgetown Protestant Cemetery it was founded in 1808, the second oldest cemetery in the former Châteauguay County.

Formerly associated with nearby Georgetown Presbyterian Church the cemetery was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in 1913.

The 725 graves are now managed by a largely volunteer committee and have recently been photographed and documented on-line:
