Covington Church Cemetery
This church and family cemetery is on a farm purchased by Edward Green Covington of Halifax Co VA in 1869. There are 11 known burials between 1888-1961. The burials include , his spouses, some of his children and some of his grandchildren. The ruins of the church are west of the cemetery.

Carolina Caswell located this cemetery by Caswell County NC Deed Book 210 pages 233-4. Carolina Caswell conducted a photographic survey in January 2014. Randy Butts photographic some gravestones in September 2016.
The history of Covington Church is unclear. According to Elizbeth Pleasant Covington (spouse of Benton Rockwell Covington), Edward Green Covington built the church which he later donated to the Southern Baptist Association. On the west side of the cemetery a dilapidated structure exists which may be the remnants of the Church. See Caswell Co NC Deed Book 210 page 233 and 234 (map identifies "Covington Church"). In 1951, 397 acres were sold outside the family to Marion Lee Stilwell by Bessie Gwynn Covington, the widow of John Anderson Covington and children (heirs). John Anderson Covington was a grandson of Edward Green Covington. Survey as recorded by J. Burch Blaylock on 1 Feb 1958: "Located between Park Springs Road and 158 Hwy." (1958, J. Burch Blaylock, Register of Deeds, Caswell Co NC).
