According to Greenwood County Cemetery Records, Volume One, p. 179 (Map C, number 52) this is the

"Simpson Mathews Cemetery, Brick posts flanking a paved driveway mark the entrance to this cemetery on the east side of highway 25, one mile south of the Kirksey community."

Small family Cemetery within Iron fence, behind Brick entranceway, off of U. S. Hwy. 25, almost exactly centered between Greenwood and Edgefield - 15 miles S. of Greenwood, 18.8 miles N. of Edgefield; in Sumter National Forest; S. of Carla Road, N. of Lamb Road.
