Saint Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery
New Fane, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, USA
This church is located at the junction of highways S and DD, on the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of Section 26. The land for the church was bought in 1861 from Henry and Elisabeth Heberer who received $14 for the 308 square rods. The first church of logs was built that year though the deed was not registered until January of 1863. A log school was built in 1866. The present church was built in 1871 and additional land purchased in 1874.
This distinctive church was built of stone from the locality. The members of the church brought in the stone and built it themselves. The church is of the Lutheran persuasion.
