The first board members were George Henderson, John McKeller, William Henderson, Walter Henderson, Gilbert Thibado, David Halliday and Samuel Robinson.
The first plot in the cemetery was purchased by William Leslie. The first burial was that of a small child of the George Henderson family. The first adult is thought to have been Steven Thibado in January 1954. His tombstone is still standing although the writing is no longer clear.
To-day, the cemetery is still in use.
