Britton Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is located at N.W. 100th Street and Western. It is about seven miles north of downtown Oklahoma City. It is located at T 13 N, R 3 W, Sect 29 E.
Britton Cemetery began in 1891 as a one acre plot. In 1917 it enlarged to 4.7 acres, which it still is today. The original plot is in the northeastern blocks 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73114, 405-843-5521, takes good care of the grounds. This listing is a combination of the canvassing of the cemetery in February and April, 2000 by Robert W. Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and a copy of the cemetery burials provided by Demuth Funeral Home. The list was updated on February 28, 2002. There are about 1600 buried here. Over 250 are in unmarked graves. 92 were in the military.
The cemetery is divided into twelve blocks. I have designated an extra block as9.5 because there are burials between blocks 9 and 10. It is in the old driveway between blocks 9 & 10, 8 & 11, and 7 & 12. The cemetery has thirty-two rows. The primary driveway divides the cemetery into north, central, and south sections.
