This is the mausoleum at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. The cemetery is owned by the city and the mausoleum is being torn down soon. I was always scared of it growing up, but, taking pictures today, I realized what great architecture it has. I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can at least get the names and dates of the deceased if not permission to take photos. They are removing the bodies (who were more than likely more prominant people in town) and moving them to the pauper cemetery on the other side of town and planning to bury them 6 deep. I was hoping to put the names on here so that any descendants might find their ancestors and let the city know if they want something different done with them. I didn't know if I should add this here or start a new section, and I couldn't figure out where to start a new section. I have more up close photos of the building to add if possible.
