The aircraft took off from RAF Bardney on 10th April 1944 on a mission to attack railway infrastructure in occupied France and Belgium. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed at St-Pierre-des-Corps, Indre-et-Loire, France. All of the crew were killed and are all buried in Nantes (pont-du-Cens) Communal Cemetery, Nantes.
