Three Army Flyers Killed in Crash - October 31, 1943. PALM SPRINGS, Nov. I, 1943 Army flyers were killed last night when a heavy; bomber from the Palm Springs air transport command base crashed near Fostoria, Ohio, the 21st Ferrying Group headquarters announced today.The victims, all stationed at Palm Springs, were listed by the army as: Lt. R. W. Joy, 27, of 2918 21st avenue, San Francisco. 2nd Lt. Harry O. Morris, jr., 27, of 5519 Mission drive, Kansas City, Mo., son of H. O. Morris of Rochelle, N. Y. Corp. Eurelio Angelosanti, 30, of 4413 Clara street, Bell, Calif.
