A Virtual Cemetery created by Edgar Dohmann

Weser Brass Band - 1909

One photo of the Weser Brass Band (Weser, Goliad Co, TX) was taken around 1900 and published in the Victoria Advocate. The 12 members shown in the photo are identified. A second photo of the band was taken about 1909 and was posted in the Frank J. Gudat data record in a family database at ancestry.com by a family member. So far only a few members of the band shown in the 1909 photo have been positively identified or identified with a high degree of confidence. A copy of the photo has been added to those memorials and they are included in this virtual cemetery. If you can assist in the remaining identifications, your help would be most welcome. One member is almost entirely cut off to the far left of the photo. The eleven visible members are numbered from L-R and identified as follows:1. William Albrecht - the only member with a large horn that appears to be a small tuba or a euphonium - the horn also appears identical in both photos. William died on 21 Jan 1909, so this photo must have been taken just a short time before his death.2.3.4.5. Ferdinand Dohmann - identified by his grandson, Edgar Dohmann6. Werner A.
