-Bedford Boys, D-Day, June 6, 1944

These men lost their lives on D-Day, June 6, 1944. They were all from Bedford, Virgina. Military records indicate 19 soldiers were either KIA or MIA during the assault on Omaha Beach. I've located two memorials in Bedford, Virginia that also have monuments in Normandy that also honor these soldiers and they have been added to this virtual cemetery. Annie Teass, the telegraph operator that received the news of their deaths is also included.
