I have been involved in genealogy since my youth and over the last 20 years I have produced a number of local family books, including emigrants to the USA. FindAGrave is a great help for me - many thanks to all contributors and their great commitment - I have found and matched at least 1000 people. After having returned the emigrants to their homeland, I now want to provide their descendants in the USA with their roots in Germany. My research area is the Osnabrueck area with the parishes of Bramsche, Engter, Rieste, Ueffeln, Voerden, Neuenkirchen, Alfhausen, Hinnenkamp, Fladderlohausen, Gehrde; partly Venne, Belm. Between 1830 and 1880 about 40% of the population emigrated from my research area. Probably more descendants live in USA than in Germany today. I will be glad to help with inquiries.
