Bio

I have been searching for my ancestors for quite some time on my paternal side. I recently learned that my Great, Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Marshall from North Carolina and her father was John Marion Marshall who came to Texas in 1870's. 1880 Census shows that John M Marshall brought three children with him: William M (F) Marshall, Elizabeth Marshall and Minny D. Marshall. They settled in San Antonio, Texas where John opened up a wheelwright shop on W. Houston street. I have officially connected with the Marshall family of North Carolina where John Marshall is from directly. However, John changed his name to John Marion or John Merian. He must have remarried after his wife, my gg grandmother's mother, passed. We lost all accounts of his whereabouts after that 1883. We may have additional half aunts, uncles, and cousins as a result. After much research, we are unable to locate his grave site. I am hoping through this account, and with the help of the Marshalls in Texas, we can confirm and conclude the life of John Marion Marshall.
