Born on an island in Neenah, Wisconsin and raised in the Geneva Lake region of SE Wisconsin. Joined the Army after my Jr. year of H.S., then the Marines for a brief stint in late 1990 through the 1st Gulf War period. Worked in the civilian world as a carpenter, plumber and truck driver and owned a remodeling company for 8 years. Returned to government work in 2004 as a WI state coordinator and team leader for Military Funeral Honors, conducting over 7500 services. Returned to active Army status in 2005 in this capacity as well as an intelligence analyst. Became a Counterintelligence Special Agent in early 2008 and served in agency until retirement in October 2017. Currently entrepreneurial once again, as a purveyor of antiquities, mostly militaria, and traveling at every opportunity.
