I have a knowledge of the German language. (I lived in Germany for a couple of years and was once fluent.) I can read old German printed text and translate to English. I'm willing to help with translations. Message me on Find A Grave for assistance. I'm interested in locating my Wibbelsmann (possibly Wübbelsmann) line in Germany. They came from Hannover. I also have a Schmidt (turned Smith) line from Germany/Prussia. I haven't focused on the Ely line as much because I was able to find my 2nd great grandfather in "The Ely Ancestry", which shows the Ely family genealogy going back to a Richard Ely who immigrated to New England in the 1660s. I also have a Sperling line that I'm interested in. It is a Jewish line from Grodno, Belarus. They immigrated to London around 1900 and then to America a few years later. They ended up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I would be happy to connect with distant relatives!
