Am interested in researching family histories, and photography. I live very locally to Barnhill Cemetery, and frequently walk my dog there, visiting at least twice a week.
Because FindAGrave helped my family immensely in filling in some gaps in our family history, and helping to find where my grandfather was buried at, I'd like to pay it forward and help others by trying to find grave sites where I can. Barnhill is a huge cemetery, with a lot of tombstones over turned, broken, or access obstructed by bush/tree growth! I might not be able to find or access a grave, even if you have precise details for me to locate it. Always willing to try to assist though!
I'll be taking some photos of gravesites and uploading them at random, in the hopes that it will help someone someday, but also to help preserve our local history in Broughty Ferry. There are many commonwealth war graves also in Barnhill Cemetery which may have information of use to war historians.
If I upload a gravesite and you are a close relative, please let me know so I can transfer the management of the memorial to you.
