My name is Holly and like many of you, I have a fasciation with cemeteries and expressly local history. I grew up going to cemeteries as a small child with my mom; she'd sit my sister and I on the hood of the car or the ground with a snack to keep us occupied while she explored. I learned to be unafraid of the dead and to appreciate the quiet stories told if you only stand long enough and listen to the graves as they speak through the names and dates etched on their headstones. The beauty of the dead speaks to another time and place... like taking a glimpse into the past, our past.
