The reason some photos are taken in the dark with an angled light is that they are typically for stones that are not able to be read in standard lighting. I usually have plans to return for better photos within a short time frame. If I don't have permission to clean them and they are not a relative, I leave the photo posted so that others can read the text. If you have a visible photo of one of these markers, please message me and I'll remove the oddly lit photo.

Note: I am trained in cleaning stones, so it would be great to not receive messages that immediately assume the worst. I would never dream of harming or cleaning a stone without permission but understand that it's a common experience unfortunately.
