I have been doing genealogy for a little over 8 years now, with family all over Texas. Like most, I dove head first.

My research is for the following relatives:

Anda/ Andar, Arias, Bazan, Caballero, Canales, Cavazos, Cantu, Carrion, Chapa, Estrada, Esquivel, Falcon, Flores, Garcia, Garza, De la Garza, Gomez, Gonzalez/s, Guerrero, Hinojosa, Lopez, Martinez, Mendiola, Munoz, Pina, Pena, Ramires/z, Ramos, Saens, Sais, Saenz, Salazar, Salinas, Silva, Sosa, Soto, Vela, Vera, Villalobos & Villareal. With focus areas in the Rio Grande Valley, East and South Texas which was the former jurisdiction of Mier, Tamaulipas. With greater focus in Salineno, Chapeno, Roma - Los Saenz , El Sauz , Huisache, Zapata, Hebbronville and Lopeno. The previous were family cemeteries that have been there for centuries. Yes, we still remember and no they are not forgotten! We do NOT approve of any member posting Full birth certificates of our family members. If pertinent information like social security numbers and cause of death have been removed then we are ok with it.

About my memorials….

If the person is related to me, you will find them connected to many. Most likely, you will find them connected to my oldest grandparent for each of the names listed above. With the cooperation of living relatives, I am maintaining for them as well. For privacy reasons, I do not feel the need to explain my relationship on down, as it should be apparent that I am related.

If the person is NOT related …most likely I will not have them connected to anyone unless it was a single family plot (husband /wife) but there will be no one else added.

When I visit cemeteries in other areas of the US, I try to take pictures of the person I am looking for and a few close by as a courtesy. Just hoping to help others in their search. I do not hold on to memorials of non-family members. So please feel free to ask for your family.
