My mom and biological father divorced and I was adopted and given the last name of my adoptive father. I just wanted to know the other side of my ancestry. It gets complicated when your biological father signs away rights and you get a new name legally but I am in the process of obtaining my original birth certificate so I can do legit ancestry digging .
