Being able to find several generations of family documented on Find-A-Grave was the match that flamed my desire to document the family genealogy. In search for more recent family I began to clear grave after grave of pine needles, overgrown grass and dirt and I began to realize how many peoples lives have likely been forgotten and are at risk of being lost forever. Each picture, name, GPS location. and link from wife to husband, children to parents is done with the new realization that Find-A-Grave Is more than just a nifty site for genealogy research, but it also a longer lasting tribute to people's lives that can be viewed by family, friends, and strangers now and into the future. For this same reason, if you have family or friends on the site, please take the time to include a tribute or picture.

Note - I will also add grave marker information for the presumably living because I do not want their lives to be lost should no one take the time to update Find-A-Grave in the future. With that said, if you are family, I am willing to take down the page or will transfer any family member's page over to your care for you to do as you please.
