My family history has been of interest to me as I have aged and began to question how my great grand parents (father's side) and grandparents (mother's side) came to the USA in the late 1800's and early 1900's. It was a courageous decision amidst uncertainty. Following up on both sides of my mother and father's family as well as friends has been very rewarding, placing photos to honor their legacy.

The Wegter and Terpstra families came from The Netherlands or Holland as it is known.. both wanted to farm.
