Bio

I have been actively tracing my roots since my uncle got me hooked around the year 2000. My uncle has mostly focused on my father's side of the family, and I have a cousin who has dedicated quite a bit of time to my mother's maternal side of the family. That has left me the opportunity to focus on my mother's paternal side. and lucky for me, they were mostly Mormon, but I have had fun building my skills by doing the necessary research to independently "validate" the information that is already out there on FamilySearch. Since getting married, I have also enjoyed digging into my wife's ancestors, where little information is known on her father's side...quite a fun adventure. My wife calls me a stalker...LOL!

I am looking forward to retirement, when I will have more time to focus on my genealogy work and travel more to visit graves and areas where my ancestors lived. Although I initially started out wanting to get back as far as I can in a tree, my desire has changed, and I now am more interested in digging deep into closer ancestors and really understanding how they have lived and what life experiences they have endured.

I am fairly new to FindAGrave as far as creating and managing memorials, and I am looking forward to helping out when and where I can. I am not looking to be a grave finder and manage a ton of memorials, but I would love to help get a picture or verify any information for folks if I am in the right place at the right time. I am looking forward to managing and focusing on those ancestors who are closest to me and make their memorials remarkable.

Primary Family Lines Researching: Barker, Beus, Christian, Daniel, Emerine, Gold, Gow, Hoyer, Jones, Kerr, Reese, Reinwald, Stattic, Wagner, Welch, Williams.

Other Family Lines Of Interest: Aiken, Bacon, Baeza, Beebe, Brown, Christopher, Clark, Croft, Griffin, Holley, Jarvis, Johnson, Jones, Steel.
