I started this project as an homage out of respect for my 3rd great-grandfather. While working on an Ancestry project, I discovered that he was buried in a Veteran's partition in Minneapolis. (Civil War) Later that year, my wife and I were in the Cities to see a Twins game, so we visited the cemetery. I couldn't find much information about his gravesite online, so we used what was available on site. We discovered that his plot, like so many other veterans interred there, was unmarked. While disappointed in that finding, I took it as a directive to volunteer to do that of which I'm capable in assisting others on their respective quests in finding information about their loved ones; taking pictures in my local cemeteries, editing incorrect /incomplete data, adding markers as needed, etc. My primary goal is to add as much information as I can find and further the database for each location to as close to complete as is possible.
