Born to Byron A and Martha P Thorpe in Detroit-also lived in Indiana,briefly on our farm near Gaston, and also in Muncie where I attended Muncie Central High School-and in Bloomington as an Indiana University student. At age 19, married Samuel T. Keasbey. A year later we divorced , but remained friends.
After moving to California, received an MA in Spanish from Cal State Long Beach and taught Spanish and French in Torrance,Westminster and Brea.
After many happy years of marriage to Richard C. Herr, I’m a widow now and retired. My three children Christopher Glenn,Catherine Deborah Hanson and Thomas Richard have given me four wonderful granddaughters, and each one of the seven makes me proud and happy.
