Bio

Hi! I was born in 1969 and recently retired. I got the genealogy "bug" from my mom. She spent over 30 years researching, long before the days of internet. I used to HATE when she dragged me to the historical societies or on cemetery walks as a child/teen. How boring I thought it all was, LOL. Here I am, an adult, and have been researching for well over 15 years. I've recently repaired over 25 tombstones, and cleaned hundreds, just because it makes me sad to see history erode away. And, I've started fundraisers to repair more stones. I hope to also start uploading pictures of missing stones, or, stones that have been cleaned/repaired.

I try to 'dig deep', going above and beyond records commonly found on Ancestry, speaking to older family members and finding handwritten letter treasures that just aren't published in common historical books. I have found many errors on sites, like peoples Ancestry Trees or, even Find a Grave, only because, information is copied from only one source, sources that were not necessarily contemporary sources to the data. Lots of books have typos too - human error happens.

Now that I am retired, I am excited to continue to 'dig deep' and really refine the details.

Good luck to all researchers!
