Bio

There's a certain calling to what I do. Peaceful, preservation, patience. In the early 80's there were countless hours of research with my grandmother, whether through the cemeteries or library. Now, I find myself once again drawn to my family origins.

In 2018, I was on the quest to find a forgotten great-grandmother (x3). She was eventually discovered, tucked away in a "family" cemetery with an untouched stone and 150 years of dirt and grime. With a little elbow grease and biodegradable cleaner, she is now in pristine condition. Time after time, through endless hours of research, dozens of illegible and deteriorating stones hindered further progress.

It has become a passion of mine to uncover and revive stones of long past, with the hopes that someday they may be rediscovered by their decedents and their stories may once again be shared.

The Story Tellers-
"We are the chosen. In each family there is one who seems called to find the ancestors – to put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes have one.
We have been called by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: tell our story. So we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves."
